Downloading and Installing the CoVet Google Chrome Extension

The CoVet Google Chrome extension is a mini-software program that runs within your Google Chrome web browser. It provides a convenient sidebar for accessing CoVet and facilitates exporting records to web-based practice management software, either through copy-paste or direct integration.

Prerequisites

• You must be using Google Chrome as your web browser to install this extension.

How to Download and Install

1. Search in the Chrome Web Store: The quickest way to find the extension is to search for "Google Chrome web store CoVet" directly in Google.
2. Access via CoVet Help Center (if direct search fails):
   • From the CoVet homepage, click on the "Help Center".
   • Once the Help Center opens, type "download" in the search bar or navigate to the "Getting Started" collection.
   • Look for the article titled "Where can I download the CoVet mobile app or Google Chrome extension?".
   • Scroll down within the article and click the button labeled "Available in the Chrome Web Store".
3. Add to Chrome:
   • Once you are on the CoVet page in the Chrome Web Store, click "Add to Chrome".
   • A prompt will appear asking for permission; click "Add extension".
   • A CoVet icon will appear in the top right of your browser, indicating successful installation.

Pinning the CoVet Extension

After installation, the CoVet icon might disappear from your main extension bar. To make it permanently visible:

1. Click the puzzle piece icon (Extensions) in the top right of your Chrome browser.
2. Find CoVet in the list of extensions.
3. Click the thumbtack icon next to CoVet to "pin" it. The thumbtack icon will turn solid, and the CoVet icon will remain visible in your extension bar.

Using the CoVet Extension

1. To launch the extension, simply click the CoVet icon in your extension bar.
2. A side panel will open on the right side of your browser.
3. You can browse to any website within your main browser window (e.g., your practice management software).
4. Sign in to CoVet within the side panel using your normal credentials.
5. Once logged in, you will see all your cases, including recordings made on other devices (phone, desktop computer).
